The Marble Starfish, Fromia sp., has a characteristic marbled body color ranging from yellow to orange to red with black feet and sometimes markings on the body, and nicely proportioned limbs that are instantly recognizable. The Marble Starfish requires a tank with plenty of live rock and a sandy substrate, constant salinity, away from puffers or other natural predators, and in a tank with plenty of algae and microorganisms for the starfish to eat its omnivorous diet. It is reef safe and will not harm any other species. The Marble Star can be housed singly or with others and should never be exposed to open air during handling.

I really like this starfish. He likes to climb to the top of the glass for some reason -- right at the water line. In fact he spent several days in the same upper corner after I first added him to the tank. I was a bit worried, but he seems fine and moves around from place to place now. I've tried putting him on rocks where I think he would find more food, but he always returns to the waterline. Anyway, looks really cool. Two thumbs up!
