The Black Phantom Angelfish (Chaetodontoplus dimidiatus) is a rare and elusive Angelfish in the marine hobby. They have a solid black body with a yellow posterior section of their dorsal fin and caudal fin. They have a grey or yellow face with blue stripes, which fades into the black body. They are best kept in a FOWLR aquarium with plenty of space to swim and with fish of similar size and temperament. They are not reef safe, as they will nip at soft and stony polyp corals, sessile invertebrates and clam mantles. Diet should include a variety of spirulina, marine algae, high quality angelfish preparations, mysis and brine shrimp, 3 times daily.
