The Red Clingfish (Arcos rubiginosus) can be found in the tidal region of many Caribbean beaches, such as tide pools and shallow lagoons. Its tear-shaped body is usually red with white stipes and bright red eyes. They use a specialized ventral fin to hold onto rocks during extreme currents and waves and can survive brief moments out of water. They reach a maximum size of 4 inches and should be housed in an aquarium with at least 10 gallons and peaceful tankmates. They require high flow and high oxygen levels and should be offered a variety of carnivorous foods, including mysis, krill and live copepods.
