Make a captivating addition to your aquarium by keeping this beautiful and one of its kind Red Moon Snail. Originated from the coastal waters of the pacific coast in Mexico, the Red Moon Snail is commonly found in the small reef crevices and feeds on marine algae. The Red Moon Snail serves as a great cleaner of a tank as it consumes many pest algae species and keeps them from coming back. The Red Moon Snail is reef safe as it does not nip over the corals or disturbs any invertebrates present in the home tank. The Red Moon Snail requires a lot of live rock in the aquarium so that it can easily roam and have plenty of area for grazing on algae. A tank of 20 gallons would be enough to keep the Red Moon Snail as it can reach up to a mature size of 2 inches. The Red Moon Snail requires a sufficient amount of calcium level as it helps in building its shell and keeping it healthy. It does not tolerate high nitrate and copper levels so proper water changes are recommended. Red Moon Snail is an herbivore marine species that feeds on hair algae, red diatom algae, slime algae, film algae and many more. If there is not much algae present in your aquarium, then you can provide it a supplementary diet of dried seaweed and marine algae tablets for its continued good health.
